29. Muhammad Reza Zaini - Indonesia

Reza graduated from the MDP in 2020, and returned to Indonesia where he secured work at the Earth Journalism Network. Professional networks and connections made as part of the MDP were vital in finding this role and in applying.

Reza writes:

"I have been employed by Earth Journalism Network, a US-based international NGO established by Internews to support Global South journalists’ capacity to efficiently cover environment-related news. My role includes supporting capacity building for Indonesian journalists to enable them to influence the local government and local grassroots organisations to deliver positive environmental and social outcomes. The MDP has provided me with knowledge on social impact assessment and Indigenous Rights, both of which are very helpful for my research roles.”
