The annual Bachelor of Social Science Poster Showcase is an occasion when SOSC3201/3211 students present group research projects conducted over two semesters. Each year, students demonstrate the very high standards of achievement and community engagement for which Bachelor of Social Science students and graduates have become known. Industry Partners and guest from across the University attend.

2016 Poster Showcase

The 2016 Bachelor of Social Science Poster Showcase was held in the Terrace Room of the Sir Llew Edwards Building (#14) on Tuesday 18 October.

Final year students in the Bachelor of Social Science Program presented posters illustrating the applied research projects they worked on during the year. Students have worked in teams on projects linking them with industry partners in both public and private sectors, allowing them to apply the research skills learnt during their degree to a current social issue or problem.

Guest Speaker Ellen Watson, a recent graduate of the Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Social Science spoke about her experience in the research project and how it has assisted her in a professional context through her work with the Department of Housing and Public Works.

The posters can be viewed in PDF format via the image thumbnails below:
