Bachelor of Social Science Research Showcase
The annual Bachelor of Social Science Research Showcase is an occasion when SOSC3201/3211 students present group research projects conducted over two semesters. Each year, students demonstrate the very high standards of achievement and community engagement for which Bachelor of Social Science students and graduates have become known. Industry Partners and guest from across the University attend.
2017 Poster Showcase
The 2017 Bachelor of Social Science Poster Showcase was held in the Terrace Room of the Sir Llew Edwards Building (#14) on Thursday 26 October.
Final year students in the Bachelor of Social Science Program presented posters illustrating the applied research projects they worked on during the year. Students have worked in teams on projects linking them with industry partners in both public and private sectors, allowing them to apply the research skills learnt during their degree to a current social issue or problem.
Guest Speaker Bernadette Praske, Senior Project Manager (Clinical Excellence) with the Darling Downs and West Moreton Primary Health Network and former graduate of the Bachelor of Social Science spoke about her experience as a social science graduate and how her social science training has assisted her in a professional context.
