Bachelor of Social Science student to present at the Commonwealth Youth Summit in Malaysia

17 October 2017

One of our current Bachelor of Social Science students, Ms Eliah Aoina, will be presenting at the Commonwealth Youth Summit in Malaysia in November 2017. She recently graduated from the Bachelor of Arts with an extended major in Anthropology, from the University of Queensland in July 2017.

During the summer of 2016, Eliah was awarded a scholarship to work at the Institute of Social Science Research (ISSR), where she began writing a paper on educational mobility and inequality in Australia. Eliah is currently in the process of publishing this work, which is how she received an invitation to the summit and to an academic conference in New Zealand, also to be held in November of this year.

Eliah is the youngest presenter at the Summit, and the only one without a PhD.

The School would like to congratulate Eliah on your amazing work!
