Sameera Suleman is an occupational therapist with expertise in multicultural health. She is currently the Practice Leader for health promotion, navigation, advocacy and multicultural health workforce at World Wellness Group which is a non-profit, social enterprise that provides culturally responsive health services for multicultural communities, based in Queensland. Sameera has a strong interest in population health and holds a Master of Public Health from the University of New South Wales.
Sameera has over 15 years of experience in working with multicultural populations in Australia and South Africa. She is passionate about promoting health equity, justice, and human rights. She has led and contributed to various projects and initiatives that aim to improve the quality and outcomes of health services for multicultural communities, such as the Multicultural Connect Line, Multicultural Health Connect (with Healthdirect Australia), the Culture in Mind program, and has taught courses related to social change, society and health. She has published articles and reports on these issues and presented at national and international conferences.
