Researcher Biography
Farzad received his Master’s in Medical IT Management at the AmirKabir University of technology where he concentrated on the design of clinical information systems’ graphical user interface. He had received his medical qualification by thesis research on adolescents’ depression based on their parents’ employment. His academic and industrial experience has been focused on digital health. The most important research domains of clinical information systems, picture archiving and communication systems, interoperability, telemedicine and telecare, and resistance to technology among healthcare staff have been explored in different universities. Executive roles at strategic and operational levels have been an invaluable experience in his digital health career. Leading and collaborating with diverse teams of designers, developers, business and deployment teams in the UK, India and Malaysia on different Digital Autopsy Solutions has been a golden opportunity for learning and experiencing advanced visualisation solutions. All industrial experiences have never stopped him to pursue his passion in research, teaching and learning in digital health. He has been an active reviewer and member of the editorial board of IJMI and keynote speaker in many conferences. Currently, his PhD research examines the sociodemographic determinants of users’ engagement with digital mental health solutions (interventions).
