Overview 

Honours Fieldwork Support Funds are a bursary awarded to students who require funds to undertake fieldwork research for their Honours thesis. Students may apply for Honours Fieldwork Support Funds of costs up to $150 (including GST). 

This mostly applies to students studying their Honours in Archaeology, but can sometimes apply to other discipline areas. 

Eligibility

To be eligible you must meet the criteria below:

  • You are a School of Social Science Honours student currently completing your thesis component.
  • The funds requested relate directly to the fieldwork you are undertaking in your thesis component. 
  • The fieldwork you are undertaking is necessary for your thesis research. 

How to Apply 

  1. Download and complete the Honours Fieldwork Support Funds Application (PDF).
  2. Send the completed application form to your Honours Supervisor to sign for endorsement. 
  3. Once signed by your Honours Supervisor, send the application form to the School of Social Science Student Administration Team -  student.socsci@uq.edu.au 
  4. If your request is approved, you will be emailed an Honours Bursary Offer Letter and Honours Bursary Acceptance Form. 
  5. Complete the Honours Bursary Acceptance Form and follow the instructions provided on it for processing.
