Jingyeong Song is a PhD candidate in the School of Social Science at the University of Queensland, Australia. Her research interests include international migration, forced migration, health and well-being, refugee resettlement, social connections, and interpersonal violence. Her PhD research focuses on the forced migration, with a particular emphasis on the lived experiences of refugees and humanitarian migrants during resettlement. She is especially interested in examining how social structures and interpersonal relationships influence health and well-being outcomes over time. Drawing on both quantitative and qualitative methods, her work explores key issues related to refugee resettlement, including the role of social connectedness in promoting integration and the implications of social and health policy interventions. Jingyeong’s research aims to contribute to evidence-based policy development that supports the long-term health and well-being of displaced populations.
