  • To study the social and psychological factors in obstetric outcomes.
  • To study the determinants of  health and well-being through the life course.
  • To study the causes of  behaviour problems from childhood to early adulthood.
  • To study mental and physical inequalities through the life course.
  • To monitor maternal mental health and physical health over time.
  • To monitor children's mental health and physical health over time.
