Our TV show Found (Q Esconde Tu Casa) has now launched in Brazil, Chile, Venezuela, Colombia, Argentina and Mexico. While season one was broadcasted in Canada last year, we imagine the US, Australian and UK version to be launched shortly. With the assistance of the Museo Anthropologico P. Sebastian Englert (MAPSE), I designed two educational workshops directed towards the youth of Rapa Nui (ages 5-13). The first was a one month course where we took 20 students to multiple locations around the island. Students were given the opportunity to interact with and learn from Local Rapa Nui experts along with national and international specialists. http://www.museorapanui.cl/679/w3-article-74223.html.
The second workshop focused on Rapa Nui’s Palaeoecology, Geology and Archaeology (PGA). During this three day event, 30 students began in the museum to learn from its extensive collections and to present the theoretical background of our PGA excursion. During the second day, we visited three sites that relate to PGA including volcanoes and obsidian quarries. On the third day, students returned to MAPSE to review what we learned in the first two days, in addition to creating a presentation for their parents that was delivered in the evening. http://www.museorapanui.cl/679/w3-article-74661.html
