Blue Mountains Prize for Archaeology

Established in 1999, this prize was maintained by an annual gift from the Blue Mountains Postgraduate Archaeology Group. The prize was established to encourage excellence in the field of anthropological archaeology. Books to the value of $200 was awarded to the recipient. This prize was repealed in 2017.

Eligibility

  • Approval from the Head of School, Social Science; and
  • students who have completed the Bachelor of Arts with an extended major in archaeology; and
  • highest mark in undergraduate anthropology, archaeology and archaeological science courses offered by the School of Social Science.

Life Course Studies Honours Scholarship

This scholarship was provided through a University of Queensland strategic initiative fund to the School of Social Science and the Institute for Social Science Research. The scholarship was designed to provide financial support to the value of $1000 for students working in the broad area of life course and longitudinal research.

The Patrick Mullins Memorial Prize in Social Planning and Development Studies

This prize was established in 2008 in honour of the late Associate Professor Patrick Mullins, who was a long standing academic staff member within the School, and highly regarded throughout academic networks for his quality research, publications and teaching. The prize is maintained by an annual gift from the School of Social Science, valued at $200. This prize was repealed in 2017.
